While perusing online for titles to meet my goal of  100 romance novels, I was able to get the first 3 chapters of Isn't It Romantic? on-line.  (link provided below)

Once I started reading--I was instantly hooked!
Growing up I was addicted to watching the romantic comedy movies of the 60's. Rock Hudson and Doris Day movies are among my all time favorites and I totally adore Debbie Reynolds. Isn't it Romantic? immediately kicked in with that same feel of a well crafted romantic comedy.

I was fortunate enough to speak with the publisher, Mary Ann Heathman of Lionhearted Publishing, who informed me that this was Rhonda's first comedy and Rhonda genuinely had no idea that it was truly so funny.

I understand that can happen as a writer when you get so involved in the technicals and rewrites, you become blinded to that initial impact. Plus, she had trouble finding a publisher. Rhonda was turned down by a major house because it didn't fit their cookie cutter style. And for some reason they thought having the hero mud wresting a female midget was too offensive and not up to their standards. A Canadian company, eh?

From what I've learned, this was Rhonda's only romantic comedy and it's currently in pre-production status for a movie. Unfortunately Rhonda won't have a chance to deliver anything more like this, as she died. Possibly with pancreatic cancer. Although this is classified as a mass market paperback, their aren't that many used copies available, but it can still be ordered through the publisher. Tell Mary Ann, Maggie sent ya.

I was lucky enough to come across a used copy of Isn't It Romantic?, and to my surprise when I opened it up, I found that it was a signed copy. What a treasure!

Isn't It Romantic? Is a hilarious romp that doesn't hold back any punches at the formulas of romance writing. Whether or not you admit to being a romance reader, you've got to get this one. Even the manliest of men will get a kick out of Isn't It Romantic?.

Now if you know anything about me, Maggie doesn't respect promiscuity and I sure don't enjoy reading about it. 'Cause in my opinion it automatically makes our heroine appear weak and is instantly dethroned as the Queen of her Empire. However, this is one of the story lines where pre-marital relations provides for some of the conflict. The rest of the story and character development is exceptional so I have no difficulty recommending this to the like minded and those silly maids who don't care about being the Queen or regaining their throne.

Synopsis:  Isn't It Romantic?
Not wanting to tell too much, so you can get down to reading the first 3 Chapters yourself, this will be the shortest synopsis I can spit out.

Boy meets girl through a mutual friend's escort service and experience an instant attraction to each other. Both boy and girl have their own reasons to believe that the other delivers additional paid companion services. Later that evening at a professional event, they learn each other's true identities--that they're each other's sworn enemy. After the professional event fiasco, an unfortunate photo and boy's humorous attempt to put girl in her place, the couple is strongly encouraged to work together on a series of "dates" to put an end to the rivalry, repair damages and of course increase sales for their respective employers.
