Two months ago, I didn't do any kind of recreational reading let alone pick up a romance novel of all things. Don't get me wrong, I read a lot. Mostly books on business, finance, writing, marketing, human behavior, health, muscle cars, biographies, American history and Biblical studies. I had no interest in any novels. From my point of view, novels especially in the romance genre were a waste of time when I could be reading something to further my education at Maggie-U.

Two of my writer friends talked me into reading 100 romance novels before totally writing them off as the nonsense I believed them to be. I wasn't sold at first, but then I was promised it would actually help me with some of my writing projects. With that I took the bait. It was a couple of weeks to actually pick up one. Procrastination. Dreading boredom. Not wanting to read about the stupid things stupid promiscuous women do. I had tried to read a couple many, many years ago when I was younger, but my goodness those women were such incredible morons I don't think I ever finished them.

My ever working mind decided to add romance reviews to The Aggie Buyer to serve web content purposes and make this100 book challenge tax deductible. The books I put in the reviews and recommend are the ones that I have enjoyed. There's some stuff I've read, if I finished it, I'll never tell about. Perhaps it may have been too sexually graphic, contains other questionable matter, the women were indeed to stupid to live let alone pick a worthy man. Or nothing more than heroine engages in random sexual behavior. That's something I have absolutely no respect for. A woman should be Queen of Her Empire and sex should be reserved for marriage. Sure sexual intercourse is necessary for procreation, but it's so much more. It's designed as a spiritual union and should be respected as such.
